This year we were able to make it the the kids fishing day hosted at the Sparks Marina. It ended up being really cool! They gave the kids vouchers for fishing poles and lunch when they got there. There were people walking around who gave out hooks, bobbers, bait, etc. for anyone who needed it. Brad got there early with Owen and Chase and got a good spot. I came later with Trevor and we joined up for some good fishing fun.
They let each child catch 3 fish and no one needed to worry about a fishing licenses or anything. It ended up being a really hot day, and they were giving out waters and popsicles too! There was also a bounce house set up and booths that were giving the kids cool fishing stuff and face painting too. This is something we'd love to do every year now that we know about it!
Chase was so quiet during his face painting, he totally fell asleep during his turn. We were cracking up!
